64th National Exhibition of Art (NEA) 2025, Lalit Kala Akademi
The 64th National Exhibition of Art (NEA), organized by the Lalit Kala Akademi, was inaugurated in New Delhi on Tuesday. This edition is remarkable for introducing an innovative initiative: award-winning artworks will be available for sale, giving artists a unique opportunity to gain recognition and support, while boosting India’s creative economy.
This year, the NEA received over 5,900 submissions from artists across the country. Out of these, 283 outstanding artworks were selected, showcasing the rich diversity and talent present in India’s contemporary art scene.
Founded on August 5, 1954, the Lalit Kala Akademi has been the nation’s premier institution dedicated to promoting visual arts. Through exhibitions like the NEA, it continues to nurture and celebrate Indian artists, fostering creativity and cultural expression.
